Leadership Through Quality

Founded in 1976, QMS has pioneered development of innovative products for renal dialysis treatment and management. QMS has been supplying computerized solutions to the dialysis field for over three decades. We have continually been involved in research and analyses in dialysis, particularly in regard to key clinical (e.g., anemia and iron requirements) and management issues (e.g., the real cost of medications in dialysis) to further our commitment and understanding of the industry.

QMS founder John Sargent, Ph.D., is well known for developing techniques with Frank Gotch, M.D., for the kinetic modeling of urea and other solutes and drugs. Urea kinetic techniques guided The National Cooperative Dialysis Study (NCDS) from 1976 to 1982, for which Dr. Sargent was a principal investigator. They form the basis for the quantitative guidance of dialysis in current practices.
